Serves as a member of the Medical Center’s Emergency Medical Services Team whose primary responsibility is to assist the Paramedics with inter-facility transports, assist with non-emergency invalid van transports, and provide quality patient care services in accordance with Medical Center and departmental policies and standards, applicable laws, and accepted Emergency Medical Technician practices.

*This position qualifies for the Mount Nittany Health Employee Referral incentive as per policy 6063*   Functions under the direct supervision of the Manager, Cardiology & Pulmonary Services and Nursing Supervisor, Cardiology. Performs all aspects of clinical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. May assist with compilation and reporting of procedural information to benchmarking, regulatory, or accreditation agency(ies), as required. Participates with all team members to provide and achieve optimal patient outcome. Participates in on-call rotation for emergency cardiovascular procedures outside normal operating hours. Will be assigned to the Electrophysiology Suite. Will function as a Charge RN on a day-to-day rotational basis in the Cardiac Catheterization/ Electrophysiology Laboratory. Accepts assignment to Echo-Cardiology and maintains competencies for both departments.

Manage, direct and coordinate the staff and operations at clinic sites of the Mount Nittany Physician Group (MNPG) in order to provide quality and cost effective patient care. Perform a wide variety of clinical and operational duties in areas such as operations management, physician and patient management, budgeting and revenue cycle management, human resources and compliance. Responsibility for multiple sites with ancillary services and visiting specialists and supervises site specific lead personnel with a combined sum of physicians, advanced practice clinicians and physical locations in the range of 29 to 46. Under the direction of the Manager and Supervisors of Environmental Services, the Aide is responsible for maintaining the Medical Center in a clean and orderly fashion. This is accomplished by following the established cleaning standards.

Provide primary health care and perform selective medical services such as examinations, formulation of treatment plans and therapeutic procedures, in all clinical venues, under the direction of the physicians. Actively participates as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.   Essential Functions - Obtain complete patient medical history and physical data, review records and assess patient heath status. - Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed. - Perform a complete/symptom limited physical examination, record findings and establish presumptive diagnosis. - Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures such as x-rays, electrocardiograms and laboratory tests and interpret results for deviations from normal. - Analyze data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention. - Perform patient care by administering injections, immunizations and oral medications in compliance with applicable laws/guidelines and suturing wounds. Prepare written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances. - Document patient information and care provided in the patient’s electronic health record. - Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes and assist in provision of continuity of care. - Provide instructions to the patient and family, if necessary, regarding medications and treatments. - Advise patients regarding health and illness prevention and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs if applicable. - Using the Electronic Health Record, document and bill for services rendered. - Perform other duties as required.

The Behavioral Health Therapist functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing psychiatric social services, group and family therapies, insurance pre-certification, retrospective and concurrent case review services, and discharge planning.
