Responsible to the department Manager/Clinical Supervisor for overall nursing practice. In his/her absence is responsible to the Patient/Physician Liaison of the shift. Nursing care of the neonate is directed toward supporting transition to extra uterine life and facilitating integration into the family unity through use of the nursing process.
